Sapphire X1650 Pro vGPU & vMEM mod

Sapphire X1650 Pro DDR2 (512MB)

overview

vGPU mod

IC: RT9232B
resistance: 602 Ohm
voltage: 1.325V

vMEM mod

IC: RT9232B
resistance: 702 Ohm
voltage: 1.875V

Please note: using 20k VR's will already result in 580Ohm / 680Ohm at the minimum.

Mod Pics

GPU OC
stock voltage(1.325V) - 655MHz
max. voltage with stock cooling(1.525V) - 729MHz
new air cooler and 1.85V+ - 850MHz+

With the little stock cooler I increased the GPU voltage to 1.5V for getting 702/442MHz:

After that time has come for a real air cooler
I used the Accelero TwinTurbo from AC and pushed the vGPU to 1.875V:

My first mods are the ones I already posted here (with Asus' samples :P ) and when you know how to find by yourself a mod it becomes really easy and enjoyable. It also improve the overvlovking for sure :pod: . Now that I am on extreme cooling I have to mod all my cards, and I will continue to post them here ;)

If you can figure out a vmod you're on a very good way. Many people want to do voltmods but are to lazy to learn what it takes to figuring out the mods.

My gfx mod counter is somewhere around 50, but don't be afraid - I don't have mod guides for all of them :tot:

I learned from K404 and S_A_V the basis (aka buy a solder kit :) ) then I now do my own mods as most of my cards are non reference PCB. Sometimes datasheets of chips are missed on google but when you know how it works then you can easily find the FB and GND.

With DMM, really easy to find volt masures points. But with my dead cards it will be a bit harder :p

My first mod, I made the shema, and I mixed vmem and vmod, I saw that when I measured the voltage :P
