Did you try more OC than just 1125mhz ? ^^

Btw, did some 3D Mark 11 tests for VRAM Core Clock fix on 1150mhz.

16329points was the maximum i could get, with 1600mhz! on 1750mhz i only got 16221Points also on 1500 mhz Vram i got 16223Points.
Temperature never went over 65°C

No idea why :tommy:

No, I didn't, but i will do so for sure. I guess we'll make the card cold too ... Some ln2 couldn't be too wrong. But according to the asic score the card isn't very good.

Did you only overclock the memory for these runs?
Sys 1 Arbeitsviech: Gigabyte X58A-UD7, Core i7 920 @ 3.6GHz, ATI Radeon HD 6970, 6 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600, OCZ Vertex 3 240 GByte SSD, 750 GB Samsung HDD
Sys 2 Linux Server: Gigabyte X48-DQ6, QX6850, Billige Graka, 4 GB DDR3, 1 x 36 GB WD Raptor, 6 x 2TB, 2 x 1.5 TB

CoreClock fixed on 1150 for all runs. Cuz that run 100% stable!

2nd Outdoor Bench session :D XFX DP Black Edition CF!

No results -.- Crashed at 1250mhz/1600mhz@1.3V in Crossfire! just one GPU Oc'ed worked fine!
got over 45°C ! And 1250mhz @45°C = Crash

Had 0°C Water Temp :D

btw, i heard that Cards with a LOWER Quality can take more Voltage! so better OC!

i don't think so no need PLL and mem at least 1.75 mem is ok for 1950 you can set with GPU tweak, PLL didn't help me much

Found a Infared Thermometer.... did some tests..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3UdOig8CDU

IF you watch at 1:05 the Back part, VRM, gets around 80°C ! And my card is still on 1.175V !

When you cool with LN2, does the VRM also get cooled ? Doesn't that goes wayyyyyyyy hotter with 1.5V and more ?

sure higher voltage means higher temp on VRM zone, but as u mentioned when you LN2 gpu the pcb temp comes lower so VRM too but need cool them with mosfet coolers and very good fan close to them, HD7970 have a mpsfet close to PLL zone too (left part of pcb) no need fan there only small mosfet cooler.

Under certain circumstances the very low temps can even become an issue. For example there were several graphics cards where the memory didn't like very low temperatures.

That's good to know :) Btw ... does anyone have a link where it's explained what ASIC is exactly?
