Serial-ATA 3.0: Spezifikationen veröffentlicht

SATA 3.0 ist final und kann von den Herstellern implementiert werden. Die SATA-IO hat die Spezifikationen veröffentlicht. Zur Computex werden bereits erste Geräte erwartet.

Gigabyte will auf den kommenden P55 Boards zusätzliche SATA III Chips von Marvell verbauen, da SATA III Unterstützung wohl erst mit dem nächsten Intel Chipsatz kommen wird. Ich für meinen Teil bin gespannt ob die Performance der Intel SSDs dann nocheinmal steigt, denn zur Zeit habe ich in gewissen Tests das Gefühl, dass der Bus limitiert.
