Samsung beginnt mit Produktion von PRAM

Samsung hat mit der Massenproduktion von PRAMs (Phase Change Random Access Memory) mit einer Speicherkapazität von 512 Megabit begonnen.

Ich bin gespannt ob Samsung schliesslich auch SSDs auf Basis von PRAM bauen würde, denn wenn die Logik zum Ansprechen der Speicherzellen einfacher ist, würde dies wohl auch bedeuten, dass simplere Firmwares bereits sehr gut performen könnten mit PRAM, sprich insgesamt das Performance-Potential grösser ist als bei SSDs mit MLC/SLC-Flash-Speicher.
