Sapphire HD6450 GDDR3 512MB Voltmods

Sapphire HD6450 GDDR3 512MB - non reference design

power supply

GPU und video memory are using a single phase pwm design at a time.

# Spule = choke
# Eingangskondensator = input cap
# Ausgangskondensator = output cap

vGPU modification

IC: FP6329
FB: Pin 6 | Ground: Pin 3
default resistance: 1842
recommended variable resistor: 50k | new resistance <= 1777

pencil mod is possible alternatively

vMEM modification

IC: FP6329
FB: Pin 6 | Ground: Pin 3
default resistance: 1057
recommended variable resistor: 50k | new resistance <= 1035

pencil mod is possible alternatively

voltage reading points

single output caps of GPU and VRAM switching regulators can be used as voltage reading points.

default voltages
GPU(Idle): 913mV
GPU(Last): 1002mV
VRAM(Idle): 1608mV
VRAM(Last): 1615mV

overclocking

The Sapphire card comes with default clocks of 625MHz(GPU)/667MHz(VRAM) and can be overclocked stable to 775MHz/1000MHz at stock voltages. Most benchmarks will still run at 800MHz/1050MHz.

GDDR3 ICs has been relabeled by AMD but regarding the overclocking capability and shape it might be some 1.1ns VRAMs in 96 FBGA package.
