SSD SATA III and MSI P55A-GD65

Goodmorning everyone, I post here to ask you for some help...
I recently bought a HyperX SSD 240GB to test its speed, but on my MSI-P55A-GD65 it seems like won't go faster than 360MB/s in reading and 190MB/s in writing...is there something I can do to use it at max speed(550/510) ? Please help me!
EDIT: I add some pictures

Hi Circo Hades

Can you tell me to which port you connected your SSD? Am I right with my guess that there is a Marvell controller on your board?

Hi, the SSD is connected to a white port (one of the 2 from the Marvell Controller), and yes, it has a marvell controller

I had this issue myself once ... Unfortunately you can't do anything because it's the Marvell controller that is quite bad.

If you connect the SSD to an Intel SSD Controller and install Intel RST next to the usual chipset driver you'll get the full performance. But when I'm not completely mistaken the P55 doesn't have Intel SATA-III onboard.

Yes, it doesn't have SATA-III onboard controller...so I'm stuck with these performances? What a crap...in SATA-II it goes faster in writing but slower in reading...

Yes, you're stuck. If you like I could reproduce your results with a Vertex 3 240 GByte.

Performance of Marvell's SE9128 really sux: http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?op…=1&limitstart=3
Cannot even compete with a SATAII controller, it's a pity for a SATAIII controller

The Marvell Controller really is absolutely horrible ...

@Circo Hades
I dunno ... but something that might be an option for you is to sell the Kingston SSD and buy a RevoDrive 3 instead. Like this you would get even more performance than the SSD offers even under optimal conditions and you wont have the issues with the ugly Marvell controller.

He is reviewing the kingston :P

''Sorry, I can't review it, Marvell sux'' :roflmao:

Ask a friend for a Sandy Bridge Motherboard with native SATA III Controller

Did I over read this?

Damn it ... then it really sucks!

Yep the easiest way is to test it with a Sandy Bridge Board.
