HWBOT OC Challenge November 2011

Where: Hwbot: http://hwbot.org/competition/hoc_nov11/
What: AMD Processors
How: Highest CPU-Z

Stages:

#1: CPU-Z AMD K6
#2: CPU-Z AMD K7
#3: CPU-Z AMD K8
#4: CPU-Z AMD K10
#5: CPU-Z AMD Vision

Prizes:

AMD FX-8150 CPU

How to Win it:
1) win a stage
2) win the lucky draw amongst stage winners

AKA, WE NEED TO WIN ALL STAGES

About the competition:

Nowadays, AMD is king of the frequency hill. But, for those who have not been around for so long, that hasn't always been the case. Before Deneb came along, AMD was actually known for its poor clocking ability (and before that for its high clocking ability again)! Anyways, this month we'll be focussing on overclocking some of the AMD architectures from past and present.

We lined up five stages with quite broad limitations, all based on CPU family: K6, K7, K8, K10 and Vision. The team that manages to get the best clocks wins the competition! Good luck!

Oh, right, before we forget. AMD has provided hwbot.org with a Bulldozer sample to, and I quote, "do a review, an overclocking test or give away as prize". So, generous as we are, we're putting up the untested Bulldozer sample as prize! To win, you need to do two things:

I am trying to find the best CPUs on ebay and I found there is a 6400+ BE, was wondering why this one is not on hwbot, on hwbot there is only the 6400+ (not BE)

I did some search and I found this:

''The Athlon 64 X2 64000+ BE uses a multiplier of 16x. This multiplier is locked. We don’t understand this choice on AMD’s part, since buyers should be able to expect an unlocked multiplier from the name “Black Edition” ''

:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

AMD Fail, They release a Black Edition CPU with a locked multiplier, what a fake

So AMD tell me what is the different between the 6400+ and the 6400+ BE, only the colour of the box ?
