Review: Samsung PM840 SSD 256 Gigabyte - Behold, the bringer of IOPS

Wenn ein Unternehmen bereits eine SSD wie die PM830 im Programm hat, dann liegt die Messlatte für einen Nachfolger hoch. Mit der PM840 will Samsung ein Solid State Drive im anbieten, das der PM830 ein würdiger Nachfolger sein soll. Führt man sich die Spezifikationen zu Gemüte, dann scheint dem auch definitiv so zu sein, denn neben 540 Megabyte pro Sekunde beim sequentiellen Lesen und 520 Megabyte pro Sekunde beim sequentiellen Lesen soll es 100'000 IOPS beim zufälligen Lesen von 4 Kilobyte Blöcken geben.

Voraussichtlich ab Woche 43 soviel ich weiss. Das wäre dann in gut drei Wochen.

Die Vertex 3 in meinem Game-Sys ist auch am abkacken, nicht zum aushalten die ständigen Freezes. :bluescreen:
Jedoch kommt die Kiste dann ohne bsod nach 1-2 Minuten wieder.

Werde mir sobald verfügbar eine 840er kaufen gehen, die Preise sind ja auch schon beim Launch sehr gut, da es nichts wirklich neues ist.
