EVGA X99 FTW pictured in details at Computex 2014

A proper high-end overclockers dream

We managed to snap a few new pictures of the EVGA's unnamed motherboard which will most likely end up to be the EVGA X99 FTW. Designed for enthusiasts and overclockers, this ATX motherboard is aimed to be used with Intel's Haswell-E HEDT CPUs expected to launch next year.

As you can see from a couple of pictures below, the massive 8-phase CPU VRM on the EVGA X99 FTW draws power from a 24-pin ATX as well as 8-pin EPS power connectors and also includes optional 6-pin PCI-Express and 4-pin Molex power connectors in case you need additional power. The eight DDR4 DIMM memory slots, four on each side of the CPU socket, are connected to its own 4-phase VRM and support up to 64GB of memory in quad-channel mode.

As far as the rest of the specs go, the EVGA X99 FTW features a total of five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots as well as one PCI-Express 2.0 x4 slot. It also comes with a total of six SATA 6Gbps ports from the PCH as well as four additional ones from a thrid-party controller, all with 90 degree angle. It also feature two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 8-channel audio a bunch of USB ports and a plethora of overclocking friendly features including on-board power, reset and clear CMOS buttons, POST LED, PCIe-disable DIP switches, EVGA EVBot support and more.

EVGA also noted that this is just a prototype and that the final product could be a bit different when it comes out later this year as a part of Intel's Haswell-E HEDT platform.
