DELL to accept payments in Bitcoin

Puts more trust into the currency

DELL have announced that they're accepting payments in Bitcoins in their online shop. For the crypto currency this is another big win.

The new payment method is the result from a partnership with Coinbase, which allows DELL customers to pay with Bitcoins. The procedure is rather simple: in order to complete a transaction you only have to enter a mail address associated with a Coinbase account and hit the confirmation Link in that e-mail.

After the Mt.Gox incident lots of people thought that's been it with Bitcoin and that it won't find back to old strenght. DELL is now proving different. Implementing Bitcoin as payment method, that's going to increase trust into the cryptocurrency, which is one of the most crucial factors behind a stable currency.

To give you a small example on the value of 1 Bitcoin: imagine you'd like to buy a new 17 inch Alienware Notebook that retails at 1594 US-Dollar these days. In Bitcoins this makes 2.54. But the most interesting and also the most fascinating thing with Bitcoin is that you see it's value increase with more and more people adopting, which at the same time make the market volatile again because of investors joining the party speculating on price drops or increases.
