New MacBook Pro should pack Core i7 and 16GB of RAM

In new MacBook Pro refresh

We have already seen a couple of reports suggesting that Apple will unveil its MacBook Pro refresh lineup in September and according to recently leaked pictures we now know what to expect from them in terms of hardware.

According to the leaked picture coming from China, the refreshed 15-inch MacBook Pro could come with 16GB of RAM by default which suggest that it could be upgrade to 32GB. Currently, 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with 4GB of RAM as standard while 15-inch version has 8GB.

The picture also reveals a couple of CPU options for the refreshed 15-inch MacBook Pro which include 2.2GHz, 2.5GHZ and 2.8GHz clocked Core i7 CPUs. Unfortunately, the picture does not reveal which CPUs are we talking about but it is definitely a nice boost from currently available 2GHz and 2.3GHz clocked Core i7 CPUs. The lowest clocked option will stick to Intel's Iris Pro graphics while the 2.5GHz and 2.8GHz versions will feature Nvidia Geforce GT 750M graphics with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory.

The price for the base refreshed model should stick to usual US $2599 price tag but those with higher specification could go as high as US $3000, especially with 32GB of RAM and top of the line Core i7 CPU.
