LG might show its new G Watch 2 next month

Might be coming at IFA 2014

According to recent reports, LG might be gearing up to launch its second generation smartwatch as early as next month.

According to a report coming from Korea Times, the new LG G Watch 2 will feature upgraded specifications as well as an updated design. Of course, it will be based on Google's Android Wear platform and according to the same report, it will be a "serious game changer."

LG will most likely use Qualcomm's chipset for the new LG G Watch 2 and the company is most likely targeting Apple's upcoming smartwatch. According to the same report, a number of LG Group divisions are working closely on this project including LG Display, LG Innotek and LG Chem.

The same report suggest that the new smartwatch might not be officially exibited during IFA 2014 but only showed to LG clients behind close doors. In any case, we might hear more about it as soon as IFA 2014 kicks off in early September.
