G.Skill Ripjaws 4 F4-3000C15Q 16GB - Unboxing

DDR4The Win

We're quite happy to report that we're the first media on this planet to show you guys detailed pictures of G.Skills upcoming DDR4 memory. The kit in question is part of G.Skills Ripjaws 4 family and they're specified to run at DDR4-3000 CL15.

The new kit, with the exact product name G.Skill Ripjaws 4 F4-3000C15Q-16GRR, consists of four modules, which all feature a capacity of 4 Gigabyte. Apart from that the kit is to run at DDR4-3000 MHz and CL15-15-15-35 latency. With DDR4 memory is also set to run at lower voltages, meaning this high-performance kit will do the specifications with only 1.35 volt.

If we have a closer look at the design we see that G.Skill has changed the heatspreader of the the new modules a little bit. Actually G.Skill have changed the incisions. If we take the modules out of the box it also feels like the quality of the heatspreader has been improved.

Overall we think this is going to be a rather interesting kit and we will spend the upcoming weeks thouroughly testing it in different scenarios. There are quite a few hours ahead doing proper overclocking and gaming performance analysis, so we can bring you guys some decent coverage for the launch.

As it happened with quite a few other DDR4 memory kits prices can already be found on Overclockers.uk. This particular kit is selling at 379£ for now. We're quite sure, that after the launch price will fall a little bit.
