Microsoft China to blame
Microsoft China have accidentally teased what appears to be the new logo for Microsoft's upcoming Windows 9 OS.
The teaser came from a post on Weibo by Microsoft China together with a "Microsoft's latest OS Windows 9 is coming soon, do you think the start menu at the left bottom will make a come back?". Although the post was quickly removed, it was already late for the logo.
Microsoft has already scheduled a press event for September 30th where it should announce the new Windows 9 OS. The release of the Developer Preview version should be ready later this month or, in worse case scenario, in early October.
