According to latest report

There have been a couple of rumors regarding the upcoming Windows 9 OS and according to the latest one, it appears that the Windows 9 will be actually free to owners of the Windows 8.

The latest report is coming from an Indonesian news site which managed to confirm the news via a statement from the Microsoft Indonesia Andreas Diantoro, which also suggested that the Windows 8 will automatically update to the Windows 9 once it is officially released.

While Diantoro did not specifically talk about the Windows 9, the representative talked about project Threshold, which is believed to be the Windows 9. Unfortunately, the recent report did not shed any light if the similar thing will be offered to Windows Vista or Windows 7 users.

In case you missed some of the report earlier, Microsoft is preparing to release the preview edition of the Windows 9 sometime in October, while the official release of the Windows 9 is expected in April next year.
