ECS announces two new Z97 mini-ITX motherboards

The Z97I-DRONE and the H97I-DRONE

ECS has launched two new mini-ITX motherboards based on Intel's Z97 Express and H97 Express chipsets that we had a chance to see back during Computex 2014, the Z97I-DRONE and the H97I-DRONE.

Spotted by Techpowerup.com, both motherboards are aimed to be used with Intel's socket LGA1150 CPUs and are pretty much the same, except for some minor feature difference and the fact that are based on different chipsets. Both motherboards feature the same 5-phase CPU VRM powered by 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, have a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, two DDR3 DIMM slot, mPCIe 2.0 x1 slot, five SATA 6Gbps ports, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, six USB 3.0 ports as well as 7.1-channel audio and Gigabit Ethernet.

The Z97I-DRONE will also allow CPU and memory overclocking while the H97I-DRONE will have somewhat limited features.

Unfortunately, ECS did not reveal any details regarding the actual price or the availability date.
