EKWB launches new FirePro W8100 full-cover water block

The EK-FCW8100

EK Water Blocks, a well known liquid cooling gear manufacturer from Slovenia, has now announced its newest full-cover water block aimed to be used with AMD's FirePro W8100 series professional graphics card, the EK-FCW8100.

Since it is based on a full-cover design, the EK-FCW8100 directly cools the GPU, memory as well as the VRM (voltage regulation module) part of the graphics card. The EK-FCW8100 also features a high-flow design which means that it can also be used with weaker pump liquid cooling systems.

The base of the EK-FCW8100 is made of C110-grade electrolytic copper while the top is made of laser cust stainless steel metal plate which also doubles up as a I/O bracket. The sealing between the base plate and the top plate is ensured by using a quality NBR rubber washers while the screw-in standoffs also ensure trouble-free installation procedure.

Due to the slim design of both the EK-FCW8100 and the earlier announced FK-FC-W9100, up to seven graphics cards can be used ona single ATX form-factor, when combined with custom multi-port FC Terminal. The single-slot design also allows users to simply double the computing power per unit when compared to the reference cooled version.

According to EK Water Blocks, the EK-FCW8100 should be already available via EK Webshop or its Partner Reseller Network with an MSRP of €124.95.
