EKWB announces new EK-Vardar 120mm fan

New high-pressure fan

EK Water Blocks, a well known liquid cooling specialist from Slovenia, has announced its first fully in-house engineered cooling fan, the 120mm EK-Vardar. Designed and built solely for highest-performance liquid and air cooling systems, the EK-Vardar will provide highest pressure and lowest noise as well as highest quality motor and bearing assembly on the market.

Named after the cold northwesterly wind blowing from the mountains down to the valleys of Macedonia, the EK-Vardar Fx-120 series fans will have distinct blade characteristics and its seven-fin blade fan design is optimized for high pressure operation while maintaining the low noise profile. It also comes with actively cooled motor windings and Double Ball bearing with 50,000 MTBF. EKWB promises optimal performance in both pull and push modes thanks to classic, yet effective design, ensuring optimal cooling capacity for liquid cooling radiators.

The new EK-Vardar Fx-120 series will consist of five different models, four regular and one Furious Vardar with all-black design. The fan speed range of four regular models will range from 1150 RPM for the EK-Vardar F1-120, up to 2200RPM for the EK-Vardar F4-120 while the EK-Furious Vardar FF5-120 will spin at maximum 3000 RPM and produce 42 dBA of noise.

The entire line of new EK-Vardar Fx-120 series fans should be available in limited quantity as of mid-December 2014 while it should be widely available in January next year. Unfortunately, EKWB still has to reveal details regarding the price.
