Mushkin announces Reactor 1TB SSD

With 560/460 MB/s read and write performance

Mushkin has unveiled the new Reactor series of solid-state drives that will be available in 1TB capacity and be based on Silicon Motion controller.


Based on a standard 7mm thick 2.5-inch form factor, the new Reactor SSD from Mushkin will be only available in 1TB capacity option, at least for now. The new Mushkin Reactor is based on Silicon Motion SM2246EN controller and uses SATA 3.0 interface. According to Mushkin, the sequential performance is set at up to 560MB/s for read and up to 460MB/s for write while random 4K read and write performance is at up to 74k and 76k IOPS.

The new Mushkin Reactor 1TB SSD features TRIM support, has a MTBF of 1,500,000 hours and is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

Unfortunately, Mushkin did not reveal any details regarding the actual price or the availability date of the new Reactor 1TB SSD.
