EKWB announces new water block for ASUS GTX 980 STRIX

Full-cover water block for ASUS GTX 980 Strix

EK Water Blocks, a well known liquid cooling specialist from Slovenia, has announced its latest full-cover liquid cooling water block aimed to be used with ASUS' Geforce GTX 980 STRIX graphics card, the EK-FC980 GTX Strix.

Based on a full-cover design, the new EK-FC980 GTX Strix effectively cools the GPU, memory as well as the VRM part of the graphics card, ensuring it stays stable even under high overclocked settings.

The new EK-FC980 GTX Strix water block also uses unique central inlet split-flow cooling engine design which allows it to be used with reversed water flow without compromising the cooling performance as well as allows it to be used with liquid systems that have a weaker pump.

The base of the EK-FC980 GTX Strix water block is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality POM Acetal or acrylic, depending on the version. It also comes with pre-installed screw-in brass standoffs.

As noted, the EK-FC980 GTX Strix water block will be available in two versions, Nickel and Acetal+Nickel, priced at €112.95 and €114.95, respectively. EKWB will also offer two different backplates for the EK-FC980 GTX Strix, including Black and Nickel versions, priced at €29.95 and €37.95, respectively.
