Star Wars Battlefront never had single-player planned

Meant to be multi-player game

According to the latest report, it appears that Star Wars Battlefront was never meant to be a single-player game as multi-player will create a more enjoyable gaming experience.

In an interview for Gamespot, Patrick Bach, DICE GM, noted that :"To be honest, single-player was never in the plan. It was never the concept." Bach added that :"The concept for us was always that we wanted players to re-live the battles. We wanted them to play the battles from the original movies. And DICE, coming from its Battlefield background, knows how to make awesome battles in that context."

He said that there was some pressure from Electronic Arts to make the game before Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens movie is released and that while single-player campaigns are good in the game, these are not as good as multi-player part of the game.

In case you missed it, Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17th for the PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
