First Intel Skylake-S CPUs confirmed for August 5th

Rest comes later

While we already knew that the first Intel Skylake-S desktop CPUs, the Core i7-6700K and the Core i5-6600K will be coming during Gamescom 2015 which starts on August 5th, we now have the confirmation that these will go on sale on the same date.

According to Bench Life site, both the Core i7-6700K and the Core i5-6600K should be available as of August 5th and launch alongside the Intel Z170 chipset motherboards. While we will be probably looking at limited availability, you will still be able to buy both these unlocked Skylake CPUs as of August 5th.

According to the same report, the rest of the lineup is expected at IFA 2015 show which kicks off on 4th of September in Berlin. The rest of the lineup includes Core i7-6700, Core i5-6600 and Core i7-6700T, Core i5-6600T, Core i5-6400 and the Core i5-6400T as well as Intel's H170, Q170, Q150, B150 and H110 chipset.

Hopefully, availability will not be limited for long and you can expect healthy batch of first Intel Skylake-S desktop CPUs in September.
