Doom targeting 1080p at 60FPS gameplay

Needs it to capture the feel of the game

It appears that the new Doom game will run at 1080p at 60FPS in order to capture the real feel of the game.

In an interview with Gamespot, Marty Stratton, executive producer for Doom, said that the developer is aiming at 1080p at 60FPS gameplay in order not to provide the best-looking game on the market but also to get the real feel of the game.

Marty also added that when you develop a game, you have to make a lot of decision that will have an impact of either the performance or the visual elements of the game and while you can go for the highest possible resolution and eye-candy, it appears that Doom will be a lot about the feel, as the game will need constant framerate in order to priovide the best feel of the game and that gameplay goal is more important than the visual one.

Unfortunately, he did not talk about specific details so we still do not know if the resolution and FPS will be limited on all versions but we are sure that PC version will be special.

In case you missed it, the new Doom will launch next year for Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC.
