Rest of the Nexus lineup getting Android 6.0

Devices since Nexus 5 to get Marshmallow

As promised earlier during its event, Google has now started to release over-the-air (OTA) Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS updates to the rest of the Nexus lineup, starting from Nexus 5.

While the new Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P should have been first devices to get with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, it appears that the rest of the lineup will get it sooner as those two new devices are not yet shipping to customers.

According to Google's post, the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9 and the Nexus Player will be getting the new update. The Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012) and the Nexus 10 are not on the list and Google did not reveal any details if these devices will get the Android 6.0 update at all.

According to Google, the new update will roll out in stages and will depend on carriers. As always, you can download the factory image for each device at Google's developer page, as long as you are willing to unlock the bootloader on your device.
