Fallout 4 gets official system requirements

Reveals precise launch details

Bethesda has unveiled both minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Fallout 4 game as well as a precise launch details, letting users check out if their system will be enough to run the game and prepare for the launch.

Just a month before the official release, Bethesda has unveiled both the minimum and recommended specifications which both include Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10, all in 64-bit version, 30GB of HDD space and at least 8GB of RAM.

According to what we see, the only difference between minimum and recommended requirements is in the CPU and the graphics card as the minimum CPU requirement is Intel's Core i5-2300 CPU clocked at 2.8GHz, AMD Phenom II X4 945 clocked at 3.0 or any equivalent CPU. The recommended CPU requirement is Intel's high-end Core i7 4790 3.6GHz or AMD FX-9590 4.7GHz clocked CPU.

The graphics side of things is quite interesting as it appears that you won't need a current high-end graphics card to Fallout 4. The minimum graphics card requirement lists the Nvidia GTX 550 Ti 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB graphics cards while recommended requirement are the Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB.

The graphics card requirements does not come as a big surprise since Bethesda already said that it had to lower the game graphics quality due to open-world design and fluid FPS mechanics.

According to Bethesda, digital copies of the Fallout 4 will launch on 12:01am on November 10th and the game will need around 28GB to 35GB on Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles, depending on the region and language support.

The Pip-Boy companion App will be available at launch on November 10th as well and will be available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices. In case you managed to snatch the Pip-Boy Edition of the game, you should know that the foam inserts will fit iPhone 6/6s, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 4/4S, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, and Samsung Galaxy S3 while customizable foam insert should fit most other popular smartphones.
