AMD bringing two new GCN GPUs in 2016

According to Raja Koduri

AMD has recently filling GPU news columns quite often and it is obvious that with the creation of the Radeon Technologies Group, led by Raja Koduri, things will be quite different when it comes to GPUs.

Earlier, AMD has already unveiled its plans to replace the Catalyst drivers with Radeon Software and now Raja Koduri, AMD's Radeon Technology Group Chief, is promising two new Graphics Core Next GPUs in 2016.

In an interview with Forbes, Raja Koduri noted that the new GPU driver software will play a key role in companies business strategy for the next few years, promising more regular and stable updates. He also added that the architecture team is working on new hardware designs and that we can expect two brand new graphics cards next year, based on the Graphics Core Next architecture and 14/16nm FinFET manufacturing process.

While Raja did not reveal any specific details, it is obvious that AMD is focusing on GPU market and hopefully it will manage to regain some of the market share from Nvidia.
