Intel Skylake non-K CPUs can be overclocked

Dhenzjhen unlocks BLCK on Core i3 6320

Today is a big day in overclocking community as one of overclockers posted benchmark results of the Core i3 6320 overclocked to 4.6GHz with 120MHz BCLK. Previously, overclocking was limited only to Intel K-series parts so this a big news for overclockers, suggesting that every Skylake CPU can be unlocked and overclocked.

While Dhenzjhen did not unveil any details and wants to enjoy the secret a bit longer but it might have something to do with the fact that it was done on Supermicro H170 motherboard. It is stil not clear if this is limited only to Supermicro motherboards but if that is the case, Supermicro 100-series motherboard might become quite famous during this holiday season.

Now that the secret is out, we are quite sure that many of overclockers will push to find the way to unlock BCLK on other Skylake CPUs so it is just a matter of time before we have more details.

Dhenzjhen submitted three Cinebench 11.5 scores which you can find over at HWBOT.org via link below.
