ASUS announces ROG Horus GK2000 keyboard

High-end mechanical gaming keyboard

ASUS has unveiled a new member of its Republic of Gamers peripherals lineup, the high-end Horus GK2000 gaming mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches.

Based on a standard 104 key layout with addition 5 macro keys on the right as well as backlight and volume wheels and ROG key on the right, the new ROG Horus GK2000 keyboard has a rather unique "winged" design.

The rest of the features include 1000Hz polling rate, Cherry MX Red mechanical switches, 100% anti-ghosting with N-Key rollover (NKRO) technology, USB 2.0 hub, large palm rest and more. It also comes with an embedded 32-bit MCU and 4MB of onboard memory so you can store your profiles and macros.

The entire keyboard is made of 3mm brushed and sandblasted aluminum with ABS underside and ABS keycaps.

Bear in mind that ASUS ROG Horus GK2000 is not an RGB backlit keyboard as each key is individually backlit with red LEDs. It also comes bundled with its own neoprene carry case so it should be perfect for LAN parties.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but we will surely keep an eye on it.
