Inno3D develops new iChill coolers for GTX 1080/1070?

Two new versions of the iChill cooler

Inno3D has announced that it has created a new iChill air cooling solution that should find its way on new high-end graphics cards that will be launched this year, most likely ending up on custom GTX 1080/1070 graphics cards.

The new iChill cooling system will be available in two models, the X3 model that will feature three fans, be based on Scythe fan blades and offer silent operation, and the X4 model with 4 fans with 15 turbine blade design which should offer extra cooling performance.

Inno3D revealed that the system with 3 fans will use 92mm super silent fans, complemented by an optional 4th 50mm fan which will cool down the large heatsink with 123 aluminum cooling fins and plenty of heatpipes.

Unfortunately, Inno3D did not reveal on what graphics cards will the new iChill cooler debut but we are sure that we will see them on new Geforce GTX 1080/1070 graphics cards that should be showcased at Computex 2016 show.

According to Ken Wong, Product Manager at Inno3D, the company managed to find a way to further optimize and improve the overall iChill cooling system performance without increasing the cost or the MSRP for the end customer.

Hopefully we will hear more details about the new iChill cooler and the graphics card equipped with it soon.
