Alleged AMD Polaris 10 benchmarks show up

Polaris 10 R9 480X and R9 480

As we draw closer to the rumored launch date at Computex 2016 show, it does not come as a surprise that we now have some of the first alleged benchmarks of AMD's Polaris-based Radeon R9 480 and R9 480X graphics cards.

While the results are probably based on an early driver release and yet to be finalized clocks, these should be taken with a grain of salt but still give us a picture on what to expect from AMD's first Polaris based graphics cards.

Just as previous rumors suggested, the Polaris 10 GPU will offer performance similar to the Radeon R9 390/R9 390X, but at a much better price and power efficiency. It is obvious that the Polaris 10 GPU will target mid-range market.

According to a table from Videocardz.com, the slower Polaris 10 GPU graphics cards, which could possibly end up named as the Radoen R9 480 is slower than the R9 390X, while the faster one, which could end up with a Radeon R9 480X name, surprisingly ends up close to Radeon R9 Fury.

Hopefully, these results will prove to be true as if the performance ends up close to the R9 Fury, AMD will have a decent performance graphics card for the market, although it wont get close to the GTX 980 Ti, let alone the new Pascal-based GTX 1080 and GTX 1070.

Earlier report suggested that AMD might reveal a bit more details at its live event that will be streamed on June 1st at Computex 2016 show.
