Scythe unveils new Byakko compact CPU cooler

With 92mm fan

Scythe has unveiled its newest tower-style CPU cooler which will feature a total height of 130mm, making it suitable for smaller cases but still offering decent cooling performance.

Measuring 102x130x84mm and weighing 415g, it is obvious that the new Scythe Byakko is a compact CPU cooler but still comes with a rather large aluminum heatsink, connected to the nickel-plated copper base plate with three 6mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes.

Scythe used the so-called asymmetrical design on the Byakko CPU cooler which means it should have no problems with memory modules.

Compatible with most modern CPU sockets, including Intel LGA775, LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366 as well as AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2 and FM2+ sockets, thanks to its easy-clip mounting system, the Scythe Byakko is equipped with a 92mm Slip Stream 92 PWM axial sleeve bearing fan, with speed ranging from 300 RPM to 2,300RPM, pushing between 6,70 to 46,55 CFM of air and producing between 7,2 and 28,26dBA of noise.

According to Scythe, the new Byakko should be already available in Europe with an MSRP of €20,50. (exc. tax).
