K|ngp|n breaks 3DMark Fire Strike world record again

Raises the score over 48K

We already wrote about the earlier K|ngp|n record breaking 3DMark Fire Strike score earlier but it appears there was a bit more overclocking headroom and life left in that system allowing him to break the record again and raise the score above the 48K mark.

The system is exactly the same as last time and includes EVGA X99 FTW K motherboard, Intel's Core i7-6950X CPU 32GB of G.Skill DDR4 memory and four Nvidia GTX Titan X graphics cards. Unlike the last time, K|ngp|n managed to squeeze in a bit more from the CPU, pushing it to 5,250MHz while graphics cards were still overclocked to 2,200MHz.

Currently, the record stands at 48,070 marks and he is closely followed by elmor from Sweden, running on four GTX 980 Ti graphics cards with a score of 46873 marks. der8auer from Germany holds the third place with 45836 marks on four Titan X Pascal graphics cards.

We are not sure if there is any more overclocking room left in that system but we suspect that K|ngp|n will push it hard and maybe we will see an even higher result soon.
