BenQ unveils flagship display SW320 for photographers

31.5-inch, UHD resolution and HDR capability

BenQ announced the SW320 monitor for photographers, which features a 31.5-inch panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution and IPS panel. Apart from that BenQ states that the panel used covers 99% of the Adobe RGB spectrum and 100% in the case of the sRGB profile.

Apparently the BenQ SW320 is no small display. Being equipped with a 32-inch panel the dimensions are 692 x 392mm (width x height). Checking on the viewing angle we find the IPS typical 178/178 degrees. The refresh rate is set to 60Hz with a response time, GTG, of 5ms, which is also on an expected level. According to BenQ, the SW320 represents the company’s flagship photographer monitor, offering wide color gamut.

The SW320 comes with different modes like for instance the GamutDuo and Black and White. With the GamutDuo Mode you can use two different color spaces at same time and side by side, while with Black and White mode you can just turn your scene in black and white film effect. Regarding connectivity, we find a card reader, USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI 2.0a, one DisplayPort and one miniDisplayPort 1.4, which makes this display compatible with the Thunderbolt port used on Macs out of the box.

So far BenQ has not revealed details on pricing and availability of the SW320, however we have spotted this monitor already on Geizhals for 1468 euro.
