Free Windows 10 update still available

Only with Media Creation Tool

If you are still running Windows 7 or 8.1 and you would like to move to Windows 10 for free, then you might be happy to know that the update is still free. If you’re going to use the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft, the entire process is going to be pretty simple.

The Media Creation Tool is available on Microsoft’s website and it allows you to easily update your OS to the latest version. At the end of the day this allows you to save quite some money, since the Windows 10 Home and Pro licences cost $119 US and $199 US respectively.

The license is based on the hardware components that are installed in your system. Once Windows 10 has been installed, the operating system will be activated based on that license. You could also migrate to Windows 10 using the so called "assistive technology" but Microsoft is soon going to disable that service.
