Haswell boots with DDR3-3850

A memory overclockers Dream

After Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge, it seems like Haswell processors will be a lot of fun for overclockers. The closer we come to the launch of those new CPUs the more details are leaking and this time it's the guys from HKEPC again checking out memory overclocking capabilities of the upcoming Intel CPUs. And so far it's just impressive what they're able to do.

Also in this case, the guys from HKEPC recorded their score on video and they were able to hit an amazing 1924.5 MHz. In order to achieve this incredible frequency they were using memory from Teamgroup and the latencies were CL-14-15-15-45. When it comes to the board it looks like the Z87-OC they were using, is quite good already for memory overclocking. Furthermore it is interesting to see that the guys were running the CPU with only one core but HT enabled. Maybe this was helping them achieving higher results.

Quote from HKEPC:

Intel Nancy Bridge "has well" IMC ability which can boot up at DDR3-3800+ directly.
