Nvidia announces PhysX support for Xbox One

Same as with Playstation 4

Although it is now quite well known that AMD managed to score all three new consoles, Nvidia still holds the PhysX and has announced that its Nvidia PhysX and Nvidia APEX will be supported on the new Microsoft Xbox One console announced last night.

Nvidia's PhysX and APE software development kits (SDKs) will provide real-time, real-world effects including smoke, particle-based fluids, life-like clothing and destructible objects that will bring more realism to games. As it was the case before, Nvidia noted that both PhysX and APEX can run on variety of CPU architectures and can be accelerated by and Nvidia GPU with CUDA architecture, something that both Playstation 4 and the new Xbox One lack since they are based on AMD's APU.

In any case, some games on Xbox One will support Nvidia PhysX and APEX despite its AMD insides.
