MSI announces new W20 3M Temash-powered tablet

11.6-incher with dual-core APU

MSI has unveiled its newest 11.6-inch W20 3M tablet computed that packs dual-core AMD Temash A4-1200 APU and runs on Windows 8 OS.
Built around a 11.6-inch 1366x768 wide-angle IPS 10-point multi-touch screen with 350-380 nits(cd/m2), the new W20 3M is a mere 0.99cm thin and weighs 688 grams. Powered by AMD's Temash A4-1200 APU with dual-core CPU part clocked at 1.0GHz and Radeon HD 8180M graphics with support for DirectX 11, the W20 3M, according to MSI, offers up to 5x faster 3D capabilities than other products in its class. According to MSI, it can score 1980 in 3DMark 06 and around 11920 in 3DMark Ice Storm benchmark.

The rest of the specifications include 2GB of DDR3L memory, 64 or 128GB of storage depending on the SKU, microSD card slot, finger print reader, 802.11bgn WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, front 720p 30fps HD camera and 2-cell battery that should keep it running for around nine hours or six hours of 1080p video playback.

The precise dimensions of the W20 3M are set at 195.8x308x9.9mm and it weighs 688g. It will ship with standalone smart cover and some sort of portable dock.

As noted earlier, it runs on Windows 8 OS, but the precise price or the availability date have not been announced.
