Corsair shows AX1500i Power Supply

What a beast!

So far the AX1200i has been the most powerful power supply in Corsair's portfolio. This unit is highly appreciated when it comes to assembling extra powerful mining rigs, since it was able to cope with loads up to 1600 Watts. Now the maker reveals the even more powerful AX1500i power supply.

It appears that Corsair was well aware that there is some more potential slumbering in that metal shell. Future tests and reviews will show if this PSU can be used with even higher loads than advertised too. So far Corsair claims, this unit will hit 94 percent efficiency at 50 percent load. The unit also features fully modular cable management. In case of excellent power supplies it's almost standard, there are 100 percent Japanese capacitors, which are of higher quality than their counterparts from Taiwan or China mainland. In case of the fan there is a model with 140 millimeter diameter and fluid dynamic bearing. Since it is an "i" version this unit is fully DSP-controlled and it offers real-tim voltage regulation. The new AX1500i also supports Corsair Link and there are no less than 8 PCI-Express power connectors to power even quad-GPU setups.

This new monster of a power supply will arrive in second quarter 2014 and it will be backed by a 7 year warranty plan. This amount of power output certainly comes at a price: 449 US-Dollar, that's what this beast will cost.
