If you live in Europe and you’re into computer hardware or gaming related products you’re likely to have heard of or know the German retailer Caseking. Meanwhile the company employs about 400 people and in fiscal year 2017/2018 it turned over €239 Million.

The well-known overclocker der8auer has announced another useful tool compatible with Intel X299 processors. With Skylake-X Direct Die Frame (or SK-X DDF for short), Der8auer replaces the Intel's ILM (Integrated Loading Mechanism) as well as the mounting holes for the CPU cooler.

After the launch of Intel Coffee Lake we’ve seen different tools for delidding these chips and apart from that many of them have already been tested. So far it looks like delidding Coffee Lake Chips makes a lot of sense if you want to overclock them and keep the temperatures at reasonable levels. On Caseking is now offering de-lidded, and pre-binned Coffee Lake chips, which have been equipped with an aftermarket heat spreader that’s been made from 99.9% silver, specifically for Core i7-8700K chips. Due to all the work behind, these chips come with a really steep price.

Roman “der8auer” Hartung is always good for a surprise. Currently working for German distributor, online shop and system integrator Caseking, Roman has come up with an eye-catching build for this year’s Gamescom. Using 3M’s Novec 7100 fluid he was able to come up with a build a two-phase immersion cooling project regarding a high-end desktop PC.

About a year ago the well-known overclocker der8auer created a tool to delid Skylake (and other) processors. It was called Delid-Die-Mate and meanwhile the overclocker has come up with a revised version, which is called Delid-Die-Mate 2.

Officially launched earlier in June, the Phononic HEX 2.0 thermoelectric (TEC) CPU cooler is now available at Caseking.de for €124,90.
