It’s been a long time

Back in 2005 Microsoft published the last Age of Empires title, which, already back then, was developed by Relic Entertainment. The franchise has always been one of the strategy games out there and it’s great to hear that a proper successor is now under development.

During E3, Turn 10 Studios has released a trailer showing Forza Motorsport 7 which is going to become available during October for Xbox One X and PC. Turn 10 Studios has improved the dynamic weather, dynamic puddles and customized player characters. A few weeks ago, Microsoft Studios released the first part of the car list while today the second batch has been revealed.


700 vehicles

Furthermore it should be compatible with VR off the bat.



4K HDR gaming to the masses

During the E3 conference Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox One Xm, which is capable of 4K HDR gaming. The Xbox One X will be available on November 7th for 499 Euro and at the same time the Xbox One S gets a price reduction to 249 Euro. It looks like Microsoft will continue using an eight core AMD processor, which is most likely the same chip that’s already in the current Xbox One but clocked to a higher frequency.


Quite modest

Meanwhile Halo Wars 2 is in the open Beta testing phase and at the same time Microsoft has released the information on the system requirements, letting you know that you’ll need at least a quad core CPU from Intel or an AMD chip with two modules.


Should scale well with new hardware

According to the fresh report, it appears that Microsoft's Gears of War 4 will have quite a few graphics settings on the PC, including the "insane" settings which should scale well with high-end and even future hardware.


System requirements revealed as well

Microsoft and Nvidia have teamed up to open up the Gamescom 2016 show with some mean 4K/UHD footage of Gears of War 4 as well as reveal the system requirements required for it.


Multi-GPU support not coming

Remedy's Quantum Break game is now available for PC and Xbox One and has been already breaking sales record but it appears that the PC version is plagued by multiple issues. While some will be fixed eventually, it appears that multi-GPU support is not coming at all.


Nvidia GameWorks strikes again

Nvidia GameWorks has struck again as it appears that it is the culprit behind both performance and visual issues in the new Gears of War: Ultimate Edition game on AMD Radeon graphics cards.


AMD Fiji-based graphics card do not deliver

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has launched for PC on Windows Store and it simply does not like AMD's Fiji GPU based graphics cards for some reason. The issue is really big as it makes the game unplayable.


No V-Sync, SLI/Crossfire, full screen or modding

Microsoft is pushing hard to get its Microsoft Store on the map when it comes to AAA games but it appears that games purchased over Microsoft Store will lack certain and quite important features like SLI/Crossfire support, modding, V-Sync and more.


DirectX 12 only

Microsoft has finally revealed the official system requirements for the upcoming Gears of War: Ultimate Edition game and it appears that you will have to have a decent system with 16GB of RAM in case you are looking to reach recommended 1080p requirements and 4K is whole different story.


Will not be available on Steam

It appears that the upcoming Quantum Break game won't be available on Steam as it will be a Windows Store exclusive title.


First of many to come

Quantum Break game has been filling news section for quite some time and although it was originally meant to be an Xbox One exclusive title, Microsoft has unveiled that it will be coming to the PC as well, and be the first DirectX 12, Windows 10 title.


Results in better graphics

According to the latest interview with Lionhead Studios Director, Fable Legends offers up to 40 percent percent improvement on DirectX 12, compared to DirectX 11, results in better visual fidelity and more.


Shows some nice effects

A new video that shows Lionhead Studios' Fable Legends game running on DirectX 12 has been released and it shows some rather impressive effects and environments.


At 1080p and 60 FPS

We were certainly surprised to see that Turn 10 Studio managed to get Forza 6 to run at 1080p 60FPS during Gamescom 2015, but it clearly shows that well optimized games are gold, even on consoles.


Four against one MOBA model

Those that have been waiting for Lionhead Studios' new Fable Legends game might be glad to know that the game will use a free-to-play model and without pay-to-win experience.
