Acoustics

Headphone

Steelseries decided to equip the Siberia V3 with two 50 millimeters speakers, which should be able to guarantee a good sound experience. We tested the Siberia V3 with a wide variety of music, movie and games. Despite our initial fears, the Siberia V3 headset was a rather pleasant surprise and the sound is, in our opinion, well balanced. During our tests we found it has great reproduction of high, mids and bass, and Steelseries certainly did a good job from this point of view. Only on high-volume, we found some distortion in the audio quality. If you love the deep and pumped bass, you can still raise the tone through the equalizer.
The overall quality is excellent, something that you expect from Steelseries.

Microphone

The microphone in our opinion is very good and the design used by Steelseries is a great addition. On the Siberia V3 you will not find a true remote control as there is only a small button for the activation of the microphone on the left earcup. The audio captured is overall good and described as natural on Skype and Team Speak but the microphone is a bit too sensible since it catches a lot of near sources.
