Conclusion

General   + -
The Raidmax Vortex V3 is an aggressively priced entry-level case aimed to be used for gaming or office systems. Despite its affordable price this case offers many features which can be found on higher-end PC cases, such as a good cooling, rotated HDDs/SSDs brackets, quick installation of heatsinks as well as plenty of space for cable management. The build quality is decent, but the materials are very light and the motherboard tray bends easily.

Manufacturing quality / Ergonomics   + -
Raidmax Vortex V3 is made of good quality black painted SGCC steel, both internally and externally. The sidepanels are quite light and thin, but we did not observe any sharp edges or uncompleted finish. The space devoted to the CPU heatsink, graphics card or the power supply is adequate. During the assembly process we noticed an excessive weakness of the motherboard tray which tends to bend very easily. Despite this problem we have to point out that we managed to mount all the hardware properly and without issues.

Design   + -
Of course, the design is always a matter of taste. In our opinion, the Vortex V3 has a rather eye-catching product with angular and non-regular lines and it should appeal to wider audience. As far as cooling is concerned, we think it's adequate and we appreciate the slot for the top 120mm fan.

Recommendation   + -
The price of the Raidmax Vortex V3 is set at about 35 euro excluding VAT at the official manufacturer website. In our opinion, the price is perfectly aligned with features and the quality of the product. This model would be suitable for an entry-level gaming as well as rather powerful office systems.
