Conclusion

General + -
The Razer Mamba is a pleasant surprise. The device is comfortable and there are some really interesting features coupled with very high build quality. The grippy surface combined with rubber on the sides make this rodent stick to your hand all the time. Overall, the sensor performs well and the software is practical and easy to use. In addition, even the battery life is a very good, meaing you have juice for 20 hours.   - Design

Performance / Ergonomics   + -
As usual, we used the gaming mouse in both 2D and 3D environments for our tests. After a few days with standard office applications we can say that, despite being a gaming mouse, Razer's new product behaves very well in those scenarios as well, mostly thanks to its many levels of DPI and numerous options that you can change within the software. Also, the gaming experience is very good, and we have used the Mamba with both RTS and FPS games without any problem. Although it is a wireless mouse with a battery inside, the mouse is lightweight and quite similar to wired models. Regarding the connectivity we have nothing to report, the range is great and the battery life reached 20 hours. Overall, we believe that this product is able to cover everyday usage as well as gaming perfectly.
We particularly like that the actuation force of the left and the right mouse button can be changed thanks to screws on the underside, which can be released and tightened with the torx screw driver, that is included in the delivery.
  - Comfort - Good glide pads
- Torx tool

Software   + -
Razers Synapse software comes with a bunch of features and it has everything you need to create an indivudual gaming mouse. You simply can't ask for anything better. Razer Synapse is free and the download is fast, but you have register first and after installing you need to login to the software using your own credentials. The login is actually mandatory. We believe useres would appreciate it if there was an offline version of Synapse, which asks your login only when you're connected to the internet.   - Easy to use - User registration

Recommendation / Price   + -
The Razer Mamba is a mouse of excellent quality, with a high level of customization not only by software but also byhardware, thanks to on-the-fly customization of the keys actuation force. This feature is unique and great for any gamer out there. The Razer Mamba does not use the classic Avago sensor, which you can find on the vast majority of devices these days. Razer is using an even higher end one from Philips. Of course with such an armada of features the price is going to be steep, in fact the Razer Mamba sells for 179 Euro on Geizhals. With a similar price it is difficult to recommend it to the masses, but if you are looking for a new very high-end, wireless gaming mouse, which can cover 20 hours of use, we can definitely recommend the Razer Mamba.     - Price
