| The PC-Q10WX from Lian Li is amongst the smaller mini-ITX cases we have tested so far. Despite its compact dimensions there is quite a lot of space available on the inside. The motherboard is placed vertically with the sockets facing up while the power supply is to be put in the front part of the case. As far as storage is concerned, you can equip the PC-Q10WX with up to two 3.5" HDD or up to three 2.5" devices. All HDDs are positioned on slides which
can be fixed to the bottom and the top of the case. Measuring only 207 x 277 x 335 mm, the PC-Q10WX allows installing high-end graphics cards and small-sized ATX power supplies. For our test system, we used a fully modular ATX PSU and there was no issue.
Due to the size of the case, it is not necessary to use a low profile CPU cooler since the PC-Q10WX is compatible with punchy CPU AiO watercoolers or high-end tower solutions. The installation is not as easy as
with an ATX case but putting the components in place is still reasonably simple. One thing that really helps is that all side panels can be removed, which allows for good access to the interior. For our system we have used a large Club3D R9 290X, which is larger than what Lian Li communicates would fit. In order to make space for this card we removed the front I/O panel, which did the trick. Apparently, removing the front I/O panel is rather suboptimal and with it in place, there is space for GPU measuring up to 270mm in length.
