The inside of the Define R6 is clean and simple, and it features a rather calssic yet highly modular layout. The Define R6 can fit up to one 5.25" device and six 3.5" HDDs, whereas the carriages, on which the latter can be installed, they're also compatible with 2.5" drvies. Furthermore there are two dedicated places for 2.5'' drive right behind the motherboard tray. Fractal Design allows the user to completely remove the HDD cage, which will transform the layout and make it highly compatible with exentive water cooling solutions.

The motherboard tray is made out of solid steel, and it features a big opening behind the socket, which allow the user to install aftermarket CPU coolers without taking the motherboard out. The tray features four openings with rubber groomets to create a neat cable management. Between the motherboard tray and the right panel there is enough space to hide plenty of cables.

For our test, we used an ATX motherboard and a rather large air cooler. As you can see from the pictures there are plenty of slots for the fans and radiators. The Define R6 is able to accommodate a CPU cooler with a maximum height of 180 mm and graphics cards can measure up to 420mm in length.
