Conclusion

General   + -
Out of all the NVIDIA GTX 560 TI graphics cards the ASUS GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II Top surely belongs to the best. The high build quality as well as the factory overclocking was able to convince us. Also the DirectCU II is can cope very well with the cards dissipation power and keeps it cool at a low noise level. We also liked that this card comes in a dual slot layout which doesn't need that much space as ASUS' recent triple slot cards. If ASUS is able to tweak this cards price then this thing will be very attractive. At the moment the price tag is quite steep.   - 2D/3D silent  - Price

Performance   + -
Thanks to the factory overclocking by 78 MHz regarding the GPU and 200 MHz on the memory this thing really flies. Compared to the results a reference card produces the ASUS model makes quite a difference. It is even able to outperform a Radeon HD 6950.    - Factory overclocking - Performance in general

Overclocking   + -
Using the the bundled software ASUS SmartDoctor which is able to manipulate voltages via a chip on the PCB it was possible to reach a GPU frequency above 1 GHz. Of course also the dual slot DirectCU II cooler had an impact on the overclocking. 1 GHz is impressive with an aircooled card and we're already wondering how high this thing can be overclocked using extreme cooling methods.   - Overclocking GPU 1'009 MHz / Mem 4'708 MHz
- Voltage regulation chip

Recommendation   + -
If you should be looking for a very good mid-range graphics card that comes with a unique board layout, design and very good performance figures then the ASUS GTX 560 TI DirectCU II Top will be a perfect match for you.   - Mid-Range up to High-End Gaming

The ASUS GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II can be bought at Digitec for CHF 319.- (est. EUR 228.-).
