Construction

The Accelero Xtreme Plus II hasn't got a well manufactured copper base plate like you can find on other brand's cooler, there is like no visible mirror affect at all. As you can see on the picture below, they pre-applied the MX-4 thermal compound onto the base plate. The heat is dissipated thanks to a set of no less than 83 fins of 0.3 mm thickness using five copper heatpipes which have a diameter of 6 mm to offer a cooling capacity of 300 W.

Design

We did not see any manufacturing mistakes on our sample, and it seems that it has been well made which means that manufacturing is on a good level. We can see that the cooler is split into two separate cooling blocks which are connected via the copper heatpipes. One block offers 18 fins and the other one 65. All the fins have been soldered to the heatpipes to guarantee good stability as wells as a good heat transfer. Furthermore there is a solid dissipation area directly ontop of the copper base featuring 30 thick aluminium fins.

Fan

ARCTIC equips their Accelero Xtreme Plus II with three 92 x 10 millimeters fans named 1119A ? and rated 0.15A/12v featuring a Swiss Design. They all have eleven blades, are full white and PWM with a fan speed range from 900 rpm to 2000 rpm. As for the specs of the fans, ARCTIC declares no more than 24.4 dBA, with an airflow of 138 CMH (Cubic Meters of air per Hours). Furhtermore those fans have a fluid dynamic bearing which allows the fans to operate almost noiseless at low rotating speeds.
