This week, as a lot of readers wanted us to do, we tested the gaming performance of the Phenom II x4 and Phenom II x6 coupled with an AMD Radeon HD 7970. Which brings our comparison tables to a new level having 2 Phenoms, 2 Bulldozers, 2 Core 2 and an Ivy Bridge CPU in there. We hope this starts to give you an overview of processors' gaming performance under recent 3D games with a high end graphics card and maximum graphics settings possible at a resolution of 1920x1080. Unfortunately no overclocking this time nor most popular Phenoms - we did with what we had - aka a Phenom II x4 970 and a Phenom II x6 1090T BE. Anyway let's see what the results are!
