Closer Look

As soon as you lift the KB460, you realize how sturdy and solid it actually is. Func has created a keyboard that gives a sense of maximum quality to the user at any time, and it did a pretty good job. The whole keyboard is made of plastic material with different finishing, including the wrist rest. In case of the wrist rest you get a comfortable soft-touch surface. The KB460 is one of the smaller mechanical keyboards we've had for testing so far, especially thanks to the palm rest that is integrated into the chassis. A quick look around shows there is a USB hub but there are no audio jacks. The Func KB460 is a mechanical keyboard and uses the Cherry MX switches and there are three different versions you can choose from: Cherry MX Brown, Blue and Red. Mechanical switches make the keyboard respond immediate and the tactile feedback is also excellent.



On the top edge we find the F-keys, where you get two functions on each and every one of them. F1 to F6 can be used to adjust the sound level, while from F7 to F12 can be assigned with makro. For that purpose you will have to visit the Funcs website and dwonload a small software. The Cherry MX Red switches (in case of our review sample) are perfect for all those who call themselves "hardcore gamers". Func is one of the very few keyboard maker, that decided to lower release pressure a little bit which will make you type even faster. The red backlight is more than enough to fully illuminate the keys, and make the keyboard very comfortable to use in the dark.

On the back of the keyboard there is the classic label showing the serial of the product and escape routes that will help you with the USB cable. The stability is ensured with four rubber feet well placed in the corners of the keyboard, in other words this keyboard sticks rather well to every surface. Obviously there are two little feet, also with rubber ends, which tilts the keyboard to a certain angle.
