Inside the box we found: two cushions (one of which is equipped with a pocket), the horizontal axis made from black plastic, three palm rests, velcro tape, stickers of the company, USB3.0 extension and USB hub 3.0. The bundle varies from version to version, so the Basic version features the two cushions, the support axis and the palm rest. Currently, there are five different versions, more or less equipped, on the market, while prices start from €89 for the Basic version up to €199 for the top version.

All components of the Couchmaster are well designed and manufactured, the support cushions are not too soft and the padding is of good quality. As you can see from the pictures, only one of the two pillows features a handy pocket where you can store food, drink or even a pair of headphones.

The horizontal axis, which is placed between two cushions, has a dual function: the first is to hold all of your peripherals, while the second, is to cover the cable management of your Couchmaster. Inside the axis you should get a good cable management. There is also enough space to place a USB hub or extension cables. Despite the presence of velcro tape and space for a good routing, the cable management can be hard, especially with long or thick cables. The three palm rests are very soft and equipped with a velcro adhesive strip. Our package also included an USB3.0 hub and an USB 3.0 Extension Cable.

The mounting process of the Couchmaster is very simple and quite intuitive. The official website features all the instructions to perform a correct assembly. For our test, we used a set of devices produced by EpicGear, the Dezimator keyboard, Blade gaming mouse and HybriPad mousemat. As you can see from the pictures, the keyboard is slightly bigger than average, but despite its size, it can be placed easily on the plastic bar. Despite the substantial weight of the Dezimator, 1.9Kg, we did not notice uncertainties or crunches on the plastic bar.

As we said earlier, the cushions are soft enough and can hold the weight of the person. Despite the initial skepticism, the gameplay is very comfortable. We used the Couchmaster for a few rounds of Battlefield 4 (multiplayer) and we found it awesome and it did not put any strain to our wrists or elbows. The gaming experience with Couchmaster is definitely equal, if not superior, to the desk.

Conclusion

Couchmaster is a unique and innovative product which solves the problems of many gamers. Thanks to the modularity of the couch, Nerdytec has not developed a product for a few, but a product for a wide audience. However, we would like to point out that you need a lot of space in order to use it in a convenient position. During the assembly steps we have not found any problems, only slight innoyance with the internal cable management  which is impractical, especially in the case of devices with long and rather thick cables. We had to arrange and then rearrange the layout of the internal cables very often to be able to "close" the shell of the black plastic bar. The use is suitable for a wide variety of applications. The players have enough space to have all their devices close, as there is enough space even for large keyboards or laptops/tablets, and everything you want to keep close to you. If you are a low-sense gamer and love using large mousemats, you could have some problem with Couchmaster, however anything can be solved using a greater number of DPI.

Lastly, we come to the prices. The official website features various models with different colors and bundles. The base model starts from €89 and goes up to €199,  for the version with a full bundle. Couchmaster is definitely an exclusive and high quality product and we believe that the price of €159, for the Microfaser version reviewed today, can be justified. Nerdytec has created a unique product with great potential.

We gave the COUCHMASTER Pro MICROFASER 4 out of 5 stars.
